The Disabled American Veterans Fry Chapter 14 is currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterans Outreach Coordinator to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ. As a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting disabled veterans, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting our nation's heroes and making a positive impact in their lives.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate outreach programs and activities to assist disabled veterans in accessing resources and support services
Develop relationships with other veterans' organizations, government agencies, and community partners to expand our network and enhance our mission
Provide guidance and assistance to veterans in navigating through claim processes, benefits, and entitlements
Conduct outreach events, workshops, and seminars to educate veterans about available programs and resources
Advocate for veterans' rights and collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to improve services and benefits for disabled veterans
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, outcomes, and referrals

Qualifications:

Prior experience working with veterans and understanding of their unique needs and challenges
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with veterans, their families, and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of veterans' benefits, entitlements, and regulatory processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Proficient in using technology for administrative tasks and data management
