Job Description:
Jesuit Refugee Service is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive individual and family social services to refugees in need. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Refugee Resettlement Coordinator to join our team in Florence, AZ.
As a Refugee Resettlement Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of refugee resettlement and health services programs. This includes coordinating and managing the process of assisting refugees in their transition to a new community by providing essential services such as housing, employment, education, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders involved in refugee resettlement
- Coordinate the identification, assessment, and placement of refugees in suitable housing
- Provide support and guidance to refugees in accessing employment and educational opportunities
- Ensure the provision of culturally sensitive healthcare services to meet the specific needs of refugees
- Supervise and train staff and volunteers involved in refugee resettlement activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, international relations, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in refugee resettlement or related social services
- Knowledge of refugee resettlement policies, procedures, and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and multicultural teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
