Job Description:
Nationwide Vision Center is a leading healthcare provider specializing in vision care. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our team at our office located in Sierra Vista, AZ.
As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses. You will work closely with our team of experienced opticians and support staff to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care and solutions for their vision needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough eye examinations to assess patients' vision and overall eye health
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses (eyeglasses and contact lenses) based on patients' needs and preferences
- Detect and manage eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Educate patients on proper eye care and hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to work well in a team environment
