Anthem At Merrill Ranch, a leading agricultural company specializing in livestock and animal care, is seeking a Livestock and Animal Care Specialist to join our team. As a Livestock and Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, wellbeing, and overall care of our livestock and animals on our ranch.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and feeding of livestock, including monitoring and maintaining their health and wellbeing.
- Assist with breeding and birthing processes, ensuring the successful reproduction of our animals.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of animal living areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Administer necessary medications and vaccinations as directed by the Ranch Manager.
- Identify and resolve any health or behavioral issues in livestock and animals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with livestock and animals, preferably in a ranch or farm environment.
- Knowledge of animal care best practices and ability to handle livestock in a safe and humane manner.
- Understanding of breeding and birthing processes in animals.
- Ability to operate relevant ranch equipment and machinery.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
