Job Description:
As a Fabric Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our sewing, needlework, and piece goods departments. Your main goal will be to ensure the department is well-stocked, organized, and staffed with knowledgeable and helpful team members who can assist customers with their fabric and stitching needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise department staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and order new merchandise as needed.
- Ensure a clean and organized department that meets company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and assisting with fabric selection.
- Stay up-to-date with current sewing and crafting trends to better assist customers.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and achieve department goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a retail management role, preferably in a fabric or craft store.
- Strong knowledge and passion for fabrics, sewing, and crafting.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
