Job Description:

Avra Valley-Marana Post 5990 Vfw, located in Marana, AZ, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and resources to veterans and military personnel in the local community. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement organizational strategies, goals, and policies in accordance with the mission of the organization
Manage and supervise staff members, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, community partners, and government agencies
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
Oversee the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting
Ensure the organization's programs and services are effectively meeting the needs of veterans and military personnel

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the non-profit sector
Proven track record of successful strategic planning and execution
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of veterans' issues and programs
Experience in fundraising and grant writing
